性行为的基本类型

在阿尔弗雷德 C. 金西(Alfred C. Kinsey)两部不朽的人类性行为著作里，他与同事对这个研究课题使用了非常实用的区分方法。他们发明了7级等级量表(从0-6级分类)，在总人口中度量异性与同性性体验的分布状态。在这个标尺的一极(分类0级)，他们归类为专有异性性体验的行为人群类型；而在另一极(即分类的6级)，则归类为专有同性性体验的行为人群类型。在这两极之间(1-5类分级)则是在其一生中既有异性性体验也有同性性体验的人群类型。以下图表概括了金西的这种基础研究成果。

3. Homosexual Intercourse

The Kinsey Scale

In their two monumental studies on human sexual behavior, Alfred C. Kinsey and his associates used a very practical method of clarifying the matter. They devised a seven-point rating scale (with categories ranging from 0 to 6) which measured the balance of heterosexual and homosexual experiences in the population as a whole. At the one end of this scale (in category 0), they placed those whose experiences were exclusively heterosexual, and at the other end (in category 6) they placed those whose experiences were exclusively homosexual. Between these two extremes were those who, in the course of their lives, had both heterosexual and homosexual experiences in various degrees (categories 1-5). Kinsey’s basic findings are summarized in this scale:
