滴虫病 I

1. 它是什么？
滴虫病是一种通常通过性接触而传染的普通感染性疾病，然而，不是不可能从座便器、湿毛巾和衣服上被传染。

2. 它由什么所引起？
滴虫病由被称为阴道滴虫（trichomonas vaginalis）的单细胞原生寄生虫所引起。它用其可动的鞭毛样的尾向前驱动，在温暖、潮湿环境孳生，尤其在阴道更易生存，但是，也在男性的尿道内寄生。

3. 它如何传播？
滴虫病通常在阴道性交中被传染：女性能传染男性，反之亦然。如果两个女性的性器官非常靠近，女性感染者也能传染另外的女性。最后，假若找到了潮湿、温暖的地方，阴道滴虫能够在人体外生存数小时，所以，在罕见的病例中，能够从座便器、衣服或湿毛巾上沾染上害虫。

1. What is it?
Trichomoniasis is common infection that is usually transmitted by sexual contact, but it is not impossible to get it also from toilet seats, wet towels, and clothes.

2. What causes it?
Trichomoniasis is caused by the single-celled protozoan parasite called trichomonas vaginalis. It uses its whip-like tail to move and propel itself forward, and it thrives in warm and moist environments, especially inside the vagina, but also inside the urethra in males.

3. How is it transmitted?
Trichomoniasis is usually transmitted during vaginal intercourse: Females can infect males and vice versa. Females can also infect other females if their sex organs come into very close contact. Finally, since the trichomoniasis parasite can survive for a few hours outside the human body if it finds a moist and warm place, it may, in rare cases, be picked up from toilet seats, clothes or wet towels.
