能治愈性传播疾病

有超过40种能够通过性接触传播的疾病，但是通常的教科书和统计中只包括最常见的种类。所以，性传播疾病的病名录可以随时发生改变，以及依据其流行程度会作出调整。本课程包括了当今最重要的性传播疾病，但是能够按照情况的需要很容易进行增减。

通常，性传播疾病被分为两类——病毒感染类和细菌感染类。另外，还有一类由阴虱和螨虫引起的原生动物和害虫类。后一类和细菌感染类性传播疾病是当今能治愈的。但是，病毒类的性传播疾病仍是不能治愈的，因而是一类需要特别做出预防努力的疾病。为了突出重点，我们在此将讨论分成能治愈与不能治愈性传播疾病。下面第一节讨论能治愈性传播疾病。这些疾病在许多国家仍然是一个主要的健康问题。

Curable STDs

There are over 40 diseases that can be transmitted through sexual contact, but only the most common ones are included in the usual textbooks and statistics. Thus, lists of STDs may change over time and include more or fewer diseases depending on their prevalence. The present course covers the most important STDs today, but it can easily be amended as circumstances require.
The STDs are usually divided into two major groups - viral and bacterial infections. In addition, there are infections by protozoa and infestations of pubic lice and scabies. The latter and the bacterial infections are curable today. The viral infections, however, are not yet curable and therefore require special prevention efforts. In order to underline this point, we have here divided our discussion into that of curable and incurable diseases. The following first section describes the curable STDs. They remain a major health problem in many countries.
