辅助生殖技术(ART)
“辅助生殖技术”是一个综合术语，指为了达到受精目的，涉及到从女子体内移取卵子的所有医学处置措施。其中最有名的技术是“试管受精”(in vitro fertilization，IVF)和“卵胞质内微管注射受精”（Inter-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection，ICSI）。这两种技术都是给1个或多个卵子在体外受精，然后用某种医学新技术将受精卵再注射到子宫内。对一些受孕异常困难的病例，当证明各种较简捷的人工授精技术不奏效时，才选用这种技术。

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
"Assisted Reproductive Technology" is a general term referring to all procedures involving the temporary removal of an egg from the woman's body for fertilization. The best known of these are "in vitro fertilization" (IVF) and "Inter-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection" (ICSI). In both cases, one or more mature eggs are fertilized outside the female body and then re-inserted using some new medical technology. These techniques are used in very difficult cases of infertility when simpler procedures have proved unsuccessful.
