援交男孩
一些年輕男子受富裕年長男人的邀請，與他們住在一起，做“援交男孩”，也就是說，他們以經常陪伴而提供性服務，作為回報據此獲得免費房間、鋪位、零花錢甚或薪水。有的這種交易只持續幾周或數月，然而，有的這種交易可能延達多年甚或數十年。當然，在後者的例子裏，兩個男人之間的這種關係會發生深刻的改變，不久之後，就不再與賣淫有任何關係了。

應召男孩
一些妓男在報紙、“同性戀”雜誌或互聯網上刊載服務廣告。他們多多少少與“應召女郎”一樣的方式提供服務，要麼自主單幹，要麼為代理人打工。

陪同
一些特別有吸引力的年輕男性會與代理人簽訂協議，成為相對高收入的“陪同”。正像女性陪同一樣，他們可能會支付公寓住宿費或給代理人提成。男性“陪同生意”現在也有跨國經營管道。

Kept boys
Some young males are invited by well-to-do older men to stay with them as “kept boys”, i.e. as regular companions who provide sexual services in return for free room, board and pocket money or even a salary. Some of these arrangements last only a few weeks or months, but others may last many years or even decades. Of course, in these cases, the relationship between the two men changes in profound ways and, after a while, no longer has anything to do with prostitution.

Call boys
Some male prostitutes advertise their services in newspapers, “gay” magazines, or in the internet. They work more or less the same way as “call girls” do, either as independent operators or for an agency.

Escorts
Some especially attractive young males sign up with an agency and become relatively well-paid “escorts”. Just as female escorts, they may pay a flat fee or a percentage of their earnings to the agency. The male “escort business” now also has international dimensions.
