Spermicides are chemical substances that kill sperm cells and thus prevent any possible fertilization. Spermicidal preparations are available m drug stores without prescription as
vaginal foams, creams, jellies, foaming tablets or suppositories. Some brands of spermicides may cause allergic reactions in some women. In these cases, a doctor should he consulted, Should a spermicidal preparation fail and pregnancy occur, the baby will in no way he affected.
