Formation and Dissolution of a Sexual Minority

1. 性受壓迫的個體逐漸團結起來並組織起來。作為一個新興的有組織的少數族群（C），他們設法取代“官方組織的”國家、人種、宗教和語種的少數族群 （A, B, D和E）。2. 這種新興的性少數（族群）彼此分享著某種相同的奮鬥目標——作為被完全接納的社會成員平等地獲得權利。3. 性少數（族群）一旦被社會接納，便會消散並融入社會的一般人群。其中有的人保留和展示著他們典型的習俗，不過這些習俗現在無可爭議地呈現出類似民俗的特徵。

1. Sexually oppressed individuals develop some solidarity and organize themselves. As a newly organized minority (C), they try to take their place next to “officially recognized” national, ethnic, religious, and linguistic minorities (A, B, D, and E). 2. The new sexual minority shares the same goal with the others - recognition with equal rights as fully accepted members of society. 3. Once accepted, the minorities dissolve and blend into the general population. Some of them retain and display their typical customs, but these now assume a non-controversal, quasi-folkloristic character.
