輔助生殖技術(ART)
“輔助生殖技術”是一個綜合術語，指為了達到受精目的，涉及到從女子體內移取卵子的所有醫學處置措施。其中最有名的技術是“試管受精”(in vitro fertilization，IVF)和“卵胞質內微管注射受精”（Inter-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection，ICSI）。這兩種技術都是給1個或多個卵子在體外受精，然後用某種醫學新技術將受精卵再注射到子宮內。對一些受孕異常困難的病例，當證明各種較簡捷的人工授精技術不奏效時，才選用這種技術。 |

(ART)
"Assisted Reproductive Technology" is a general term referring to all procedures involving the temporary removal of an egg from the woman's body for fertilization. The best known of these are
"in vitro fertilization" (IVF) and
"Inter-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection" (ICSI). In both cases, one or more mature eggs are fertilized outside the female body and then re-inserted using some new medical technology. These techniques are used in very difficult cases of infertility when simpler procedures have proved unsuccessful. |
