安全性行為-推動安全性行為所面臨的問題 |
要改變一個人的習慣決不那麼容易，而且要改變其性習慣就特別地不容易。可是，既然“安全性行為”確切地悠關生與死的問題，人們應得到他們能夠得到的所有的救助。所以，各個國家與國際的公共衛生當局及其私人機構不屈不撓地不斷宣傳預防AIDS和安全套使用知識。
早先的一些為改變人們行為的宣傳運動取得了相對的成功，至少在一些國家是如此：接種免疫疫苗、佩帶摩托車頭盔與系汽車安全帶、減少與戒斷吸煙等等，都有一些成就。這些鼓舞人心的成功事例也增強了人們預防AIDS的希望。預防AIDS的知識不可能馬上和全部被人聽從及考慮，但是，隨著時間的過去，即使是小小的成功也能夠創造出巨大的變化。
既然如此，有一些問題一定不要被忽視了：許多人在面對新的風險和相應做出反應還有個人的和主觀的問題；也有許多人正遭遇到客觀的、經濟的和政治的阻礙；在任何預防宣傳運動能夠開展之前，這些問題和阻礙必須要得到克服。 |

Safer Sex - Problems of Safer Sex Promotion |
It is never easy to change one’s habits, and this is especially true of sexual habits. However, since “safer sex“ is literally a matter of life and death, people deserve all the help they can get. Therefore, national and international public health authorities and many private organizations tirelessly repeat the message of AIDS prevention and condom use.
Some previous campaigns for behavior change have been relatively successful, at least in some countries: Getting vaccinated, wearing motorcycle helmets and seatbelts, reducing or giving up smoking. These encouraging examples raise some hope for AIDS prevention as well. Its message may not be heeded promptly and universally, but even small successes can, over time, make an enormous difference.
Still, there are problems that must not be underestimated: Many people have personal, subjective difficulties facing the new risks and acting accordingly. Many also encounter objective cultural, economic and political obstacles, and these have to be overcome before any prevention campaign can take hold. |
