5.5.6 SCABIES
The itching of scabies is caused by a tiny mite which burrows through the skin. The mite can be transferred from one person to another by sexual and other physical contact as well as through infested clothing or bed linen. As in the case of crab lice, the infestation is treated with locally applied lotions (Kwell).
