研究表明骨盆底的肌肉是男女进行性行为的主要因素。例如,练习耻骨尾骨肌(简称PC肌)常常导致性反应的显著改善。有勃起功能障碍的男子和性高潮节奏控制有困难的男子可以从有规律的锻炼这块肌肉获益良多。通过设法终止尿流的方式,能够识别这块肌肉,因为控制尿流是通过控制耻骨尾骨肌来完成的。这种锻炼只是在每10秒的锻炼周期中反复地收缩骨盆底肌肉。这种锻炼可以在站立、坐位或卧位时在任一地点进行。不过,当进行锻炼时,应该避免摈住呼吸、收腹或绷紧臀部。如果至少每日锻炼两次,通常会对性生活满意度有较大的改善,甚至于对没有性功能障碍的男子,改善的效果也较显著。

The PC Muscle
Research has shown that the pelvic floor muscles are a major factor in the  sexual performance of both men and women. For example, exercising the pubococcygeus muscle (PC muscle) often leads to a dramatic improvement of the sexual response. Men with erectile problems and those who have difficulties with timing their orgasms may very well benefit greatly from regularly exercising this muscle. A man can identify the muscle by trying to stop the flow of urine, because this is accomplished by controlling the PC. The exercises consist in simply contracting the pelvic floor muscles repeatedly for 10-second periods. This can be done anywhere at any time while standing, sitting, or lying down. However, while doing the exercises, the man should avoid holding his breath, pulling in the abdomen, or tensing the buttocks. If done at least twice daily, the exercises usually lead to a more satisfying sex life even in men without sexual dysfunctions.
