看一看人类性的3个基本层面我们注意到，从第1层面到第3层面，多种多样可能的性向谱在扩大，而且各自的例外例子或性少数会增加：
- 在性的第1层面（生物的性）下，例外数量最少，因为两性畸形非常少。
- 在性的第2层面（性别）下，例外的数量较大，因为有相对比较多的异装癖者和易性癖者。
- 在性的第3层面（性取向）下，例外的数量仍然较大，以为双性恋者和同性恋者甚至于更多。
When looking at the three basic aspects of human sexuality, we notice that, going from 1 to 3, the spectrum of possible variations widens and the size of the respective exceptions or minorities increases:
- The number of exceptions is the smallest under 1 (biological sex),
because there are only very few intersexes.
- It is larger under 2 (gender),
because there are relatively more transvestites and transsexuals.
- The number is still larger under 3 (sexual orientation),
because there are even more bisexuals and homosexuals.
