Founders and Directors

Prof. Liu Dalin,
professor of sociology at the University of Shanghai, is the author of countless articles and over 100 books, among them the "Chinese Kinsey Report", i.e. "Sexual Behavior in Modern China" (1992, engl. ed. 1997). After showing parts of his historical collection in Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Europe, and the USA, he opened his own museum first in Shanghai, but now found the ideal permanent place for it in Tongli.

Dr. Hu Hongxia,
trained in traditional Chinese medicine, she joined Prof. Liu in founding his first museum in Shanghai and, as a co-director, now manages the preservation and expansion of the collections in their new location.
