The Treatment of Sexual Dysfunctions
- Sex Therapy |
|
Some Particular Sexual Health Problems |
|
Sexual
aversion, inhibited sexual desire, and
pain during sexual intercourse are
particular health problems that can have
a great variety of causes and may
require an equally great variety of
physical and psychological therapeutic
approaches. To a certain extent, this is
also true of the “classic” sexual
dysfunctions, but on the whole, they
present a much clearer picture.
Moreover, modern sex therapy has
provided us with a number of successful
standardized treatments to deal with
them. For the purpose of this course we
therefore concentrate on the “classic”
dysfunctions and cast only a cursury
glance at the other problems.
