October 2009: A visitor from Berlin
On October 10, Prof. Haeberle was visited by Manfred Herzer, author of a Hirschfeld biography (Magnus Hirschfeld: Leben und Werk eines jüdischen, schwulen und sozialistischen Sexologen. 2nd edition. Hamburg 2001). Having known each other for over 25 years, they exchanged their views about the past and possible future of Hirschfeld’s legacy in Berlin, especially in view of the current electronic revolution.
