固精式性交
过去的某些信奉宗教的组织曾积极地鼓励男性进行无射精的性交，也就是说，鼓励男性进行无性高潮的性交。希望这种类型的性交[也叫闭固^*(karezza)或固精式性交]持续多个小时，并增强性伴双方的精神活力。现今，随着远东哲学观念对西方人的不断影响，许多美国、澳洲和欧洲的夫妻们重新发现了这种做爱方式。毋庸置疑，对于这些夫妇而言，男方在性交期间无性高潮决不会成其为问题。确切地说，这恰恰是他们追求的目标。

* 在中国古代的房中术中，强调男子尽量在性交期间不要射精，并可能尽量与多个女子性交，通过性交尽量“汲取”女子的“阴精”，所谓“采阴补阳”，以达到延年益寿的目的。显然，这种观念本身是损人利己的，尽管实际的效果并不能损人，但是否真正能够从中获益，尚缺乏生理学证据（但是，有人著述认为房中术的“闭固”有科学依据，但译者观后，仍旧认为尚无说服力，因为所谓的科学依据，一定是科学实验验证的证据）。闭固倒实实在在能够让那些希望男方尽可能长地性交的女子获益，因为从中可以达到其更满意的性高潮。闭固一说，可以从房中术理论家之一孙思邈在其《千金要方》卷二十七中找到依据，他论述道：“夫房中术者，其道甚近，而人莫能行其法。一夜御十女，闭固而已，此房中之术毕矣。”——译者注。

Coitus Reservatus
Certain religious groups of the past actively encouraged men to practice coitus without ejaculation, i.e. without orgasm. This kind of coitus (also known as karezza or coitus reservatus) was often supposed to last many hours and to further a couple's spiritual growth. Today, with the growing influence of Far-Eastern philosophies in the West, many couples in the Americas, Australia and Europe are rediscovering this form of lovemaking. Needless to say, for such  couples the absence of the man's orgasm during coitus is never a problem. Indeed, it is their goal.
