Female and Male Sexual Dysfunctions
- A New Terminology |
Detailed
comparison This new general
overview
of female and male dysfunctions can, of
course, be differentiated further in
order to create a clearer understanding
of the two major problems -
"Problems of Tumescence" and
"Problems of Orgasm".
Tumescence, i.e. the engorgement with
blood of the female and male sex organs
is the manifestation of physical
arousal, and its absence indicates that
the individual is not ready to begin
intercourse. In females, there is a lack
of vaginal lubrication, and in males,
there is a lack of penile erection.
Orgasm, i.e. the climax of sexual
excitement manifests itself in both
sexes in a series of sudden muscular
spasms of decreasing intensity. In some
cases an individual is unable to time
this climax to his or her or mutual
satisfaction, and in some other cases is
unable to reach a climax at all. |
