The Treatment of Sexual Dysfunctions
- Diagnosis |
Sexological Examination |
In
addition to a standard medical
examination, many therapists use a
so-called sexological examination, i.e.
they explore the patient's or client's
sexual responsiveness. If the therapists
are not physicians, they usually ask for
the help of a gynecologist, because this
type of examination is usually more
important in the case of women. While
most men know their own sexual response
quite well, many women are unfamiliar
with the functioning of their sex
organs.
The sexological
examination can help them and the
therapists in understanding their
sexual responsiveness.
