Most current books on human sexuality still use inappropriate and misleading terms in referring to male sexual dysfunctions. In contrast, this course uses a terminology that is applicable to both sexes and thus allows us to see the basic similarity of female and male sexual responses and dysfunctions. The following sections will therefore follow the same pattern as the previous section on female dysfunctions.
