Whiting et al. (1966/1974:p169-70, 182)[1][141] argued that Mormons keep the most rigid control over courtship [compared to Zuni and Texan patterns]. “Dancing is favored and even kissing games are sponsored by adults, but there is a strong feeling that all cross-sex interaction should occur in the presence of the parental generation”.
